In order to be a fully effective business, we have put together a basic set of ‘rules’ to guide behaviour at work. These ‘rules’ are mostly a matter of common sense and where possible, have been kept to a minimum.
This Staff Handbook aims to expand on the information contained in your written job offer and statement of terms and conditions of employment. This Handbook includes our policies and procedures and contains information you will require with respect of your employment with us. Terms detailed in your Contract of Employment will take precedence over this Handbook. Due to ever changing regulations relating to employment, this Handbook will be subject to amendment. You will be notified of any significant amendments to our policies or procedures, including changes to the rules in this Handbook.
This document is available for all staff to read at any time and has therefore been made available in the On Staff Squared.
This handbook is regularly updated, therefore, any copy that you have saved on your personal drive or printed in hard copy may not be the current version. Always check the version in the location above for the most up to date information.
Whilst you should be notified on Induction that this handbook exists it is your responsibility to ensure that you make yourself familiar with this document in order to understand our rules and procedures. The rules, procedures and policies contained within this handbook do not form part of your Contractual terms and are therefore considered guidance.
The Company recognises that English may not be the first language of all employees, therefore during an employee’s induction, if requested, the key elements of the Handbook can be explained and verbalised. As an employee of One Degree North, you are expected to read and make yourself familiar with the content of this Handbook.
