Overtime and Toil
You are expected, as reasonably required, to work any additional hours as necessary for the proper performance of your duties. The Company does not generally pay overtime for work beyond your normal working hours unless otherwise pre-agreed with a director.
If agreed in advance with a director, TOIL may be taken to compensate you for agreed additional work, such as attending a training course on a non-working day or working significantly over and above your hours to complete a piece of work. TOIL should be taken as soon as possible and should not be ‘stored up’ as additional holiday.
All overtime payments and TOIL are at the discretion of the directors and this policy may be changed at any time (with reasonable notice).
For part-time workers, any overtime or TOIL can only be claimed after you have already worked your usual contracted hours or once you have completed a full-time equivalent working week, i.e., 37.5 hours.
