If you are provided with an electronic/wireless device, you are expected to treat it with care. If it is lost or stolen, it is your responsibility to immediately:
- Report the loss to the police and to obtain a crime reference number.
- Contact a director and request that they delete all Company confidential data from the device and remotely lock/disconnect the device.
- If you feel there has been a breach of the data held on the lost or stolen device you must advise the Directors who will investigate the breach and report to the ICO where required.
One Degree North will process an insurance claim so that a replacement device can be provided as soon as possible.
Negligence or failure to promptly report a lost or stolen phone may result in you having to pay all or some of any replacement costs and all or some of any fraudulent charges suffered.
If a Company’s electronic/wireless device is misused or abused, it may be taken away from you, and disciplinary action may be considered.
