EU Citizens
The EU Settlement Scheme requires all EU citizens living in the UK, prior to its departure from the EU, to apply for settlement, in order to retain their residency rights. By 30th June 2021, all EU citizens working in the UK were required to have applied for, and had confirmed, settlement in order to continue working in the UK.
Following application, you will be granted either ‘Settled’ or ‘Pre-settled’ status depending on how long you have continuously lived in the UK. 5 or more years’ continuous residency will grant you a ‘Settled’ status and fewer than this will give you ‘pre-settled’ status.
If you have received ‘pre-settled’ status, this will include an expiry date. You must ensure you apply and receive ‘Settled’ status prior to the expiry date in order to continue your employment with One Degree North.
