Internet access is vital for us to do our jobs and it should only be used for business purposes. Using it to access personal or items of an unsuitable nature (i.e., anything that could be seen to be sexually explicit or offensive on the grounds of race, sex, disability etc) will be seen as gross misconduct. 

Many aspects of communication are protected by intellectual property rights which are infringed by copying. Downloading, uploading, posting, copying, possessing, processing and distributing material from the internet may be an infringement of copyright or of other intellectual property rights.

Controls are in place to prevent security breaches and we reserve the right to check individual stored files. Bear in mind at all times that, when visiting a website, information identifying your PC may be logged. Therefore, any activity you engage in via the internet may affect One Degree North.

The Company internet and Wi-Fi is to be used for commercial use only and should not be used to connect to media and broadcast sites for example, iPlayer, BBC Sounds, Spotify etc.

Misuse of the Internet access may result in disciplinary action and may result in access being removed and/or a formal warning which may result in dismissal with or without notice depending on the severity of the offence.
