You will be given the opportunity to discuss any refusal to grant your flexible working request if:
- There is new information that was not available to the Company at the time they made their original decision or
- If you think the application was not handled reasonably in line with this policy.
You must put your appeal in writing, date it and explain what your reasons for appeal are.
All appeals will be held by a director in association with One Degree North. You will be invited to attend an appeal meeting and must take all reasonable steps to attend – you can take a work colleague along to this meeting.
Any decision on the appeal made to the relevant Director will be final and will specify:
- In the case of the appeal being upheld, the new work pattern and start date or
- In the case of the appeal being refused, the grounds for the refusal and the reasons why such grounds are applicable.
