We will always try to grow our own talent and promote from within where possible. Where opportunities arise, we have our internal promotions process which is as follows:
- All vacancies will be advertised internally giving internal candidates an equal opportunity to apply for roles;
- Internal candidates will be considered for roles based on performance in their current role, experience, qualifications and the criteria for the role. Whilst time in role may be a consideration, an internal candidate is not guaranteed a promotion simply because of their length of service;
- The Disciplinary record of the individual may be taken into consideration under the performance criteria; however, expired warnings will not normally be included;
- Internal candidates will be interviewed following the same process as external candidates;
- In certain circumstances, roles may only be advertised internally;
If you are promoted, we will do all we can to make sure you receive training and support in your role. There is not normally a probation period attached to a promotion; however, should your performance in your new role not be satisfactory, we may take you through the capability process which could result in your demotion or your dismissal.
