Statutory Sick Payments whilst on sick leave
The Company will pay you SSP at the rates in effect at the time of your absence providing that the correct notification procedures have been followed and certification has been provided.
If you are absent as a result of an accident then you may be able to recover damages in the way of compensation from a third party; for example, through an insurance or personal injury claim. You must repay any sick pay received as a result of the accident if compensation covering the period of absence is ultimately received.
The Company may at its discretion continue to pay your normal remuneration for such periods as it considers appropriate. However, this is entirely at the discretion of the Company.
